Staying connected with Learners ---RESOURCES FOR LEARNING DURING COVID 19

The MOE has collated and established resources to support teaching and learning at distance. SEE LINKS BELOW!

It is important to remember during this time that focus must be on the well being of our young people and our main task as educators is to stay connected with them and keep relationships strong.

On behalf of NZAIMS, I will pass on our sincere thanks to the MOE, at all times we have been kept well informed in a timely and clear manner. The bulletins may have contained a great deal of information but it is essential you keep up to date and pass on relevant details to your staff, students and communities.

I am aware this following information was in the bulletins but just to reinforce;

These resources have been provided as support for your own programmes. We are all the best judge of what is most relevant for our students and communities.

Learning from Home website 

This site has a great number of resources and is constantly being updated. It is designed to be a resource used by teachers who select relevant sections for their learners.  

Papa Kāinga TV is another specially created resource that is accessible on TVNZ channels 1 & 2, TV on demand, and Sky 502. Māori TV has Te Reo lessons.

These resources have been provided as support for your school's tailored programmes. We are all the best judge of what is most relevant for our students and communities.

PLD support the delivery and content of this has been made very flexible to cater for current needs. You can repurpose current hours or the MOE has made more available. Please contact your local MOE. This resource is currently underused.
