Daryl Gibbs is committed to Intermediate Middle schooling across Aotearoa New Zealand. With 20 years in middle school teaching and leading at Berkley Normal Middle School, Matamata Intermediate and now leads Cambridge Middle School. The NZAIMS executive has benefited from his five years of service including three as vice president. Daryl advocates and represents NZAIMS strongly, particularly in the curriculum. Understanding the importance of NZAIMS in the education landscape, Daryl leads strategic planning and curriculum inputs on behalf of NZAIMS members.

Sharon Keen is the principal of Casebrook Intermediate in Christchurch. During her career, she has worked exclusively within Intermediate schools. Sharon was the president of NZAIMS from 2016 to 2021. She continues to work tirelessly for Christchurch schools and Intermediate Middle Schooling across the country. Her insightful and expert contribution to Learning Assistance is valued highly at all levels. Sharon is the current treasurer of NZAIMS.

Nathan Leith brings a diverse and packed 20 years of teaching and leading schools to the NZAIMS executive. These years include, leading Ohinewai, Morrinsville Intermediate and his current principalship at Berkley Normal Middle School in Hamilton. A third-term NZAIMS executive member who tirelessly advocates for Intermediate Middle Schooling. Nathan provides a strong and clear voice for Intermediate Middle Schooling equity when representing NZAIMS in salary negotiations and resourcing discussions.

Jonathon Tredray has been a member of the NZAIMS Executive Team since January 2013, having served as the Vice President from 2015 to 2021. As the Principal of Northcross Intermediate in North Shore, he brings the perspective of a large intermediate school to the executive table. Jonathon advocates for and represents research, ERO review processes, and professional learning opportunities. He is known for his creative thinking and ability to bring a learning focus, innovation, and vision to the forefront of NZAIMS.

Justine McDonald is principal of Waimea Intermediate School in Tasman. With 20 years leading (U1-6) schools and leading in “Normal School” organisations, Justine is in her second term on the NZAIMS Ngā Kura Takawaenga o Aotearoa executive. Evidence based, Justine relentlessly promotes intermediate middle schooling and advocates for middle school student's education. Justine advocates for and represents Intermediate Middle Schooling in research projects, Initial Teacher Education, Leadership Education, and Tirito development forums.

Jonathan Hughes is the Principal of Glen Eden Intermediate School. In his education career, which spans 20 years and four schools, he has always worked in Intermediate Schools. As president of the Auckland AIMS Executive and NZAIMS executive member in his second term, Jonathan ensures the direction of Intermediate Middle Schooling in NZ provides high-quality, holistic intermediate middle school education.
